How Will You Celebrate National Beer Lover's Day?
Today, September 7, 2017 marks the date of National Beer Lover's Day: a day to celebrate good, craft beer. The Watershed Cafe features a line up of unique, quality brews highlighting local and sustainable breweries, along with regional and seasonal flavors.
Because today is such a special day, we'd like to introduce you to a brewery with a sustainable twist to their business practice, and a seasonal brew we all look forward to!
Potosi Brewing Company is located in the small town (less than 700 people) of Potosi, WI. It rests in the Southwest corner of Wisconsin, near the Iowa border. Potosi Brewing Company not only creates delicious craft beers, they are a company with a social conscious. The brewery was donated to The Potosi Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all of the company's profits go to charity. According to their website, they aim to develop local economy, brew only the finest craft beer, and serve to support historical and educational initiatives and other charitable causes. The Watershed Cafe is proud to feature Potosi Brewing Company's Hopsmith Imperial IPA.
With the changing of the seasons, many beer enthusiasts anticipate the arrival of New Glarus Brewing Company's Staghorn Octoberfest. This Bavarian-style Octoberfest combines German brewing methods with the best barleys of the Midwest to create one of the most sought-after seasonal craft brews in Wisconsin. Like the cooler days of Autumn, The Staghorn Octoberfest has a smooth amber body with a crisp finish, and pairs with hearty roast beef and Friday Fish Fry!
