The Watershed Cafe proudly features artwork by local artist Wayne Kolstad! Using sustainably harvested birch bark, Wayne paints beautiful birch forest scenes.
From Wayne’s bio:
“Wayne Kolstad is a self-taught artist. His most recent artistic endeavor is creating paintings on real birch bark. Each painting is one-of-a-kind.
For centuries, birch bark has been revered by kings and emperors. Egyptian kings used birch bark paper to create scrolls and other important documents that have survived centuries.
Wayne has attended many art shows over the years, including the annual Loveland Colorado Fine Art and Sculpture Invitation Show, among others in Whitefish and Kalispell, MT. His art has been shown in numerous galleries and shows throughout the country, and many in Wisconsin and Minnesota.”
Wayne resides in New Richmond, WI. Come in and see his beautiful work!
